Our annual Footy Finals Luncheon took place this month at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf, where we celebrated the thrilling end of the 2025 Rugby League season. It was an unforgettable afternoon of rugby league celebrations as we honoured the 2025 NRL season and geared up for the Grand Final.
Iconic League legends, including Brad Fittler, Willie Mason, Api Koroisau, Robbie Farah, and from the NSWRL Women’s Premiership, Corban Baxter, all joined us as celebrity guests.
Our MC for the day was comedian and TV personality Rob Shehadie, best known for starring in the hit TV comedy, Fat Pizza. Rob hosted an exciting Q&A with our footy celebrities, who entertained us with humorous footy stories, both past and present, and shared great insights into the game, the season that was, and the big Grand Final ahead of us. Rob also amused us with his brilliant comedy, we had lots of laughs with his quick-witted, cheeky, original, no-holds-barred humour – he was hilarious.
Following the luncheon, we headed to the ‘Loft At Doltone House’, where we continued to celebrate with great food and live entertainment by Marie Archie, a fun, high-energy roving band that got everyone moving to their mash-up hits and cool vibes.
Lots of prizes were on offer, with 30 lucky guests winning the very sought-after limited edition NRL balls. A big congratulations to Jake Khalil from MN Builders, who won the LG 75” Smart TV by beating all our guests at the flip a coin heads and tails game. Everyone was eliminated, while Jake was the last man standing. Well done!
