Harvey Norman Commercial WA has officially opened the doors to its brand-new, state-of-the-art selection centre in Osborne Park, setting a new benchmark for B2B showrooms in the region. Designed to inspire architects, designers, developers, and builders alike, the space features an impressive line-up of premium national and international brands. Kitchen and cooking appliances include Gaggenau, Neff, Miele, Liebherr, Fisher & Paykel, Smeg, Bosch Haier, Schweigen as well as Electrolux, AEG, Westinghouse and Vintec. Bathroom fixtures including taps, basins and toilets alongside room heating, underfloor heating, water filtration and even audio products. Key brands include Villeroy & Boch, Gessi as well as Zip taps, Kalfire, Rinnai, Real Flame and Planika heating system.
The launch event, held on August 21st was a true celebration of design, innovation, and indulgence. Guests were treated to a multi-sensory experience, from the sleek displays of tapware and bathroom fittings activated by talented performers, to the mouthwatering culinary creations, including blow-torched S’more Bomb Alaskas and a live gnocchi station. The evening also featured a speak-easy-style Club HNC, tucked away on the outer edge of the building, where secret cocktails flowed, and entertainment filled every corner.
This showroom, a testament to luxury and exclusivity, boasts 1120m2 of space across two floors, with a third level providing 830m2 of office space. The massive warehouse, is a unique feature in the commercial appliance industry in Perth and spans 2550m2 with 10 metre ceilings, making it the only one of its kind in Perth.
When visitors enter the showroom, they will immediately see best-in-class brands as well as experience a feeling of luxury. A lot of thought has gone into the small details, such as the natural light coming into the front of the showroom, as well as strip lights to guide you along your journey. One of the significant design features is a circular Barrisol light fitting featuring over 2000 LED lights covered in stretched fabric to deliver a flat, even light. Another effect that was implemented to appeal to interior designers and builders is the use of the labour-intensive French Wash painting technique, which delivers a marble-effect on the walls as well as intriguing glimpses of other displays, allowing you to see through to different locations in the showroom. The showroom is split between two main floors, with kitchen and laundry appliances located on the ground floor, along with a complete demonstration kitchen, offering a unique and interactive experience for visitors, this is complemented by the second floor offering the best brands in bathroomware, water filtration, and heating & cooling.
The showroom is designed with the customer journey in mind, right down to the smallest details. The staircase is carpeted and features a semi-frameless balustrade and warm lighting, making it the most aesthetically pleasing fire stairs in Perth. To further enhance the customer experience, we commissioned a well-known local street artist, Rachelle Dusting, to paint native flora and fauna murals on the staircase, which are also carried through to our board rooms and working spaces on the third level. The top and bottom of the building are adorned with murals of NSW’s floral emblem – the Waratah – a nod to the East Coast origins of the Harvey Norman business.
With its curated product displays and immersive atmosphere, the new selection centre is more than just a showroom – it’s a destination! For those in the industry, it’s a must-visit space where inspiration lives and ideas come to life.
