Our A&D team celebrated the festive season in style at the UDIA NSW Christmas Lunch held at the Sofitel Sydney
Wentworth. This is one of the UDIA’s most anticipated events, bringing together professionals from across the development industry for an afternoon of networking and celebration.
The guest speaker was Mark Bouris AM, Australian Entrepreneur & Executive Chairman of Yellow Brick Road. During the
event UDIA NSW CEO Stuart Ayres had a chat with Mark about his podcasts, Straight Talk and The Mentor. This podcast is
one of Australia’s top-rated business shows and gives invaluable insights into leadership strategy and resilience. They discussed how Mark is transforming the way small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs can access support and guidance.
The luncheon was the perfect opportunity to reconnect with our industry peers and celebrate the spirit of the festive season.

HNC’s Nicole Mensforth and Leo Brown, along with over 150 UDIA members and guests, attended the UDIA Illawarra Christmas Luncheon this month. The guest speaker was Minister for Planning and Public Spaces and Member for Wollongong, The Hon. Paul Scully MP. The Minister discussed opportunities presented by the planning reforms in 2025, along with what the industry can expect in 2026 through further reforms to the Planning System in NSW. As a Wollongong local, the Minister also shared insights into the various exciting initiatives happening across the Illawarra-Shoalhaven, which will shape the region for generations to come. He acknowledged that it was an exciting time for the rapidly growing Illawarra-Shoalhaven area during this time of planning system reforms, and that we move forward with building the homes we need in the region. The Minister also spoke with UDIA NSW CEO Stuart Ayres regarding the newly passed Planning Systems Reform Bill and discussed some of the initiatives, challenges, and opportunities defining the local and state industry.

We were proud to be a major partner of Canberra’s HIA social golf event of the year, the ACT & Southern NSW Annual Golf Day. It was a fantastic day of golf and a great opportunity to catch up with industry friends. We began the day with a tasty breakfast before hitting the green for 18 holes of fun and friendly competition. After the final putt, we headed back to the clubhouse for lunch, a few laughs, and the tournament presentation.
