We were proud Major Category Partners for the 2025 HIA Riverina Housing, Kitchen & Bathroom Awards. The event was held at The Wild Vine just outside of Wagga on Saturday 13th September. The awards provided home builders and designers the opportunity to receive recognition and showcase their work to the industry.
Our ACT Showroom Manager, Megan Wilson attended this event representing HNC as one of the HIA’s major sponsor. The evening entailed drinks and canapes on the deck followed by a 2-course dinner within the wineries building. There were 150 HIA members celebrating this local awards night. The winners will be going through as finalists at the big Canberra HIA awards to be held later this year.
As HNC were the Major Category Partner, Megan presented the ‘Bathroom of the Year’ award to Lancaster Building Group who also won many awards including ‘2025 Home of the Year’ award!
Karen Benson and Nyssa Crowe from our Home Builder team attended the HIA’s annual Construction Outlook breakfast in Sydney this month. This was the HIA’s 20th annual Outlook Breakfast, considered the state’s premier event in the building and construction sector.
In attendance were many of Sydney’s largest home builders and residential developers, along with some of our major suppliers, Caroma, Parisi, Rheem, Rinnai, Zip and Worldwide Appliances.
Guest speakers included Luci Ellis, Chief Economist, Westpac, Tim Reardon, Chief Economist at HIA, and Tim James, Shadow Minister for Fair Trading, Work Health & Safety & Building, who shared their expert analysis of the latest developments in the construction industry, information on the economic environment, and the latest statistics and figures.
Our ACT Division had the privilege of hosting one of the annual HIA events, the “Women in Construction Lunch and Learn”. This year, we were excited to provide the keynote speaker for the event and were thrilled to welcome Alex from Phoenix Tapware to facilitate it.
Alex, is a member of the R&D team at Phoenix and the creator of their successful Cromford Range. Alex shared valuable insights and personal stories about how both the Cromford Range and the Nuage range were developed following a designer’s trip to Thailand. Approximately 25 people attended the event, including designers, builders, and other professionals from the construction industry.
