Reconciliation Action Plan
We are delighted to announce our very first Reconciliation Action Plan. This has been developed in partnership with Reconciliation Australia and formalises our commitment to an inclusive workplace. In the plan we acknowledge and value the diverse culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Our vision is to foster and maintain respectful and mutually beneficial relationships by promoting sustainable opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, organisations and businesses.
‘Batoo – Water’ is an expression of the patterns and movement of water. In our Gathang/Kattang language batoo or batu means ‘water’. The line works represents the flow of water and the scales on fish to show the connection between food, water life and the water elements.
‘Saltwater’ it’s in my DNA. The flow and movement of water expressed through paint brush to canvas. Sand dunes and coastal mountains... So good to get back into my painting and have a little mini break from jewellery making. So relaxing and therapeutic.
‘Saltwater Camp’ round canvas tells of the journey our mob make over the sand dunes and coastline to set up camp at Saltwater.
